mysql_upgrade - check tables for MySQL upgrade


SYNOPSIS
       mysql_upgrade [options]

DESCRIPTION
       mysql_upgrade should be executed each time you upgrade MySQL. It supersedes the older
       mysql_fix_privilege_tables script, which should no longer be used.

       mysql_upgrade checks all tables in all databases for incompatibilities with the current version of
       MySQL Server. If a table is found to have a possible incompatibility, it is checked. If any problems

The latest update from apple creates some problems. It broke my existing install of mysql.

Fix static ip address and wired network settings in kubuntu 9.10

We needed to rename a machine and change its static ip address. This is proving to be a problem in kubuntu 9.10

The static ip settings in Network Manager are not sticking. So..

used the help in the kubuntu forums.
